Syddjurs Municipality

Syddjurs is only 25 minutes from Aarhus and it does not take long to get from Denmark’s largest rollercoasters in Djurs Sommerland to one of the many, wonderful beaches at the lovely coast line of Syddjurs Municipality. In Ebeltoft, you will both find passionate glass art at the Glass Museum and explosive canons at the world’s longest wooden ship, Fregatten Jylland.

Syddjurs offers great nature life and historic treasures like Kalø Castle ruin, Sletterhage Lighthouse, the idyllic Ebeltoft and, last but not least, the magnificent nature of National Park Mols Bjerge.

A large part of the municipality has been appointed national park because of its remarkable Ice Age landscapes and nature areas. Furthermore, the prints from a coast culture with harbours, bridges, warehouses, seaside hotels etc. witness a strong maritime history, which is today revitalized in brand new forms.
