Collaborations across borders help create development in the cultural industry. Meeting other cultures, working methods and experiences can result in new knowledge, inspiration and innovation. But our experiences show that for many cultural actors it is a challenge to gather the necessary resources to establish a European collaboration and/or to create EU applications. That is why the European Region of Culture has decided to offer micro funds that will help cultural actors in Central Denmark Region in the early stages of a European collaboration project.

"The micro fund aims to make as big a positive difference as possible. Therefore, we would like to see applicants from cultural actors who do not have much international experience, or projects from actors who want to explore a new, international path," says Louise Godt, EU cultural advisor in our programme Shortcut to Europe.

The funds are both for cultural actors that wish to apply for European financing and cultural actors that simply seek new partners or inspiration.
